Netflix and I have a love/hate relationship. I love the fact that they’re constantly putting out new content but hate to get suckered in to binging a show! Read on to learn what shows and movies are out now — and definitely worth the binge.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
The Netflix version of Sabrina is a much darker and wittier version than the original and I dig it. Some original Sabrina fans were unhappy with the fact that Salem doesn’t have much of a role in the new version. However, I have enjoyed them adding in Ambrose, Sabrina’s cousin, to fill this void. Now on it’s second season, Sabrina is the perfect show to watch on a rainy evening with some popcorn and a bottle of wine.
If you loved the Vampire Diaries or The Magicians, then The Order is the show for you. The Order follows Jack, who gets accepted to a prestigious college and is eager to join the school’s famous not-so-secret society. Although the show is cheesy at times, it is a fun binge watch and has recently been greenlighted for season 2.
The Ted Bundy Tapes
In the new film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, Zac Efron plays the famed serial killer Ted Bundy. However, prior to the release of this film, Netflix came out with a docuseries on Bundy. The episodes go deep into Bundy’s history and crimes. There were many moments throughout the series that I was in disbelief. It is incredible how Bundy was able to evade capture by law enforcement. I highly recommend this show if you’re into true crime.
Someone Great is a fun romantic comedy starring Gina Rodriguez, DeWanda Wise and Brittany Snow. If you’re looking for something short and sweet without getting sucked into a deep binge then Someone Great is perfect to satisfy that craving. I found this movie to be highly relatable and perfect to watch either alone or with your girl gang.
Any movie starring my personal idols of Amy Poehler, Tina Fey and Maya Rudolph will get my immediate attention. Wine Country is a hilarious movie about a girl’s weekend in wine country, which when you get a group of ladies together and a ton of booze, well nothing could go wrong, right? This movie was poignant and truly had me laughing out loud.
