Digital Event: A Beginner’s Guide to End-of-Life & Legacy Planning with Marni Blank

Event Title: Six Degrees Society Digital Event: A Beginner’s Guide to End-of-Life & Legacy Planning with Marni Blank

What’s Happening?

Planning for life’s inevitable moments can feel overwhelming, complicated and uncomfortable.

“I’m too young to plan. I have plenty of time. I don’t have enough assets to need a will. I’m healthy. Where do I even begin?”
Many of us put off planning or asking our loved ones about their plan because we don’t want to think about it or what it means. This is normal!
In order to live well today, we must plan well for tomorrow. Let’s gather, learn, and tackle this topic together.
This talk is for you if you:
  • Have (or are considering having) children
  • Recently married or divorced
  • Had a healthcare diagnosis or scare (or have a loved one who has)
  • Received a raise at work or starting to accumulate wealth
  • Purchased a house
  • Want to feel educated on a topic that feels a bit confusing or overwhelming
In this workshop, we will cover:
  • What’s involved in creating a holistic plan
  • Why it’s not too early to consider end-of-life planning
  • How to start the conversation with family members
  • What questions you should be considering to make decisions that are best for you
  • The joys of thinking about your legacy and how you can create a life now that feels in alignment with how you want to feel in the future.
  • Creating more comfort and ease in thinking and talking about an uncomfortable topic

She brings deep compassion, active listening, practical resources and a healthy dose of humor to her work. Death and grief affect us all. The more we connect with our families, communities and ourselves, the less fear plays into these important discussions and decisions.
