About Emily:
Emily Merrell is the Founder of Six Degrees Society, a Professional Speaker, and an Expert Community Curator. She has supported thousands of ambitious women to get what they want in their personal and professional lives. Members often achieve their first paying clients and land a new job and a mentor by utilizing Emily’s expert knowledge shared through signature connection events, sold-out masterminds, and 1:1 coaching. Emily’s expertise has been applauded and featured by Refinery29, Girlboss, Forbes, and Huffington Post.
Emily has an extensive background in luxury events focused on serving women. For almost a decade she worked with high-end fashion houses amongst them: Ralph Lauren, Club Monaco, Tory Burch, and INTERMIX planning store openings, celebrity appearances, and VIP events.
It was not until her friend lovingly nick-named “20 questions”, because of her genuine curiosity to form powerful connections, that she realized she needed to make a career pivot. Her true calling was connecting and she did have massive expertise in events. An idea was born…
Fueled by her passion for deep + meaningful connection and coupled with her desire to plan highly curated events. Emily founded Six Degrees Society and today SDS is breaking industry standards hosting 12 events a month focused on personal, professional, and partnership development.
When not connecting, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, Greg. On weekends you can find her taking cooking classes, adventuring to wine country, and connecting in coffee shops with strangers (she isn’t called 20 questions for anything!)
