Six Degrees Society SF Presents Understanding Mindfulness in The Workplace With Alexis Pokorny

  • Outdoor Voices 555 Hayes Street San Francisco, CA, 94102 United States (map)

What's Happening? Many of us have heard of the term “mindfulness”, but very few of us have actually experienced this state of clear focus and awareness. It’s known that we spend 46.9% of the day distracted, research and our own experience, performance, and stress levels conclude that multitasking doesn’t work.

What does work? Mindful focused awareness towards ourselves and our environment. Alexis will lead us through how to develop and use a 10-minute daily mindfulness exercise to be more productive, counteract the sheer volume of distractions as well as reduce stress levels in the face of short term and high-pressure deadlines.

Walk Away With:

-An introduction to mindfulness
-Why it is important for the workplace or personal development (examples)
-The research/how it works
-Exercises on how to develop and use at work

Join Alexis Pokorny as she explains what your CIO (chief information officer) is, the researched benefits, the science behind how it works in the body, and how to develop and use your Intuition in the workplace.)
