Digital: Patterns and Paradoxes of the Holiday Season with Spiriosity Founder Alexandra Trevisan

Event Title: Six Degrees Society Digital Presents: Patterns and Paradoxes of the Holiday Season with Spiriosity Founder Alexandra Trevisan

What’s Happening? The holiday season is traditionally associated with sentiments of comfort and joy. Phrases like “Merry and Bright” and “Festival of Lights” allude to cheerful and enthusiastic festivities. This representation of the holidays may not be comprehensive. How do these commercialized representations of the holidays ring true for us? How can such a polarized portrayal of the holidays trigger feelings of melancholy? How do personal and communal rituals change during this time of year?

  • A gathering to investigate the romanticized energy of the holidays
  • Exploring parallels between different religious festivities as they relate to gathering, giving, light and hope
  • Considering introspect as a key virtue present during this season

Who is this for? The spiritually curious and inclined. Those looking to extract further spiritual meaning from the traditional celebration of “The Holidays”. Those looking to actively participate in an open discussion.
