Event Title: Six Degrees Society Digital Presents: Racial Trauma, Oppression and Our Bodies with Priscilla Karin Rodgers
What’s Happening? Inhabiting your bodies fully and taken up space with said body should be everyone’s natural birthright. Unfortunately, it is a birthright that is stripped from many, based on the color of their skins. In this workshop we will chat about trauma as a barrier to living deeply and sensuously in our bodies and how that barrier is even higher for Black women. How white-body supremacy affects everyone in a variety of different ways regardless of their complexion, and Priscilla will lead us in a body-based trauma release practice to help us to unravel some of that the stored traumas in our bodies.
