About Women Who Brunch:
Our Mission:
We are a meetup group for women to connect and inspire each other, over brunch and mimosas. We provide women a comfortable atmosphere in which they can network, learn, and connect with each other over the most important meal of the week.

What makes this event unique?
As a lady who loves brunch and meeting new people, it was difficult to find outlets to learn from other inspiring women. This is great way to share our stories, meet new friends, and discover a new restaurant spot in our neighborhood. We're trying to find a solution for more women supporters and make this an amazing brunch dining experience.

Did you know that working moms is definitely the new normal? Seventy percent of mothers with children under 18 are working moms. Over 75 percent of those working moms are employed full-time. We’ve come a long way from 1960, when mothers were the primary or sole earners for only 11 percent of households with children (today, it’s 40 percent), but have we come far enough?

Many women are owning the decision to plan for motherhood later in life with technologies like egg freezing available, while others are opting to try motherhood on their own. Yet with so many options comes sensory overload. What is the right choice? And what if your career is taking a precedent over motherhood? What are some ways to evaluate your next steps.

Join Six Degrees Society, in partnership with the fabulous folks at Pacific Fertility Center, the premiere fertility care, for a candid and necessary discussion about how women today are redefining the role of “mom.” We’ll be joined by women who are at different stages of both their careers and motherhood. Together, they’ll discuss their decision to become moms the challenges they have personally faced with making this decision. They’ll share how they are addressing it and explore solutions for how we can and should evolve as a society.

The Problem:

Community is a vital part of the creation of a blossoming business. Every idea, client or experience is that much more enhanced by the connection to others.

As an entrepreneur, days can be spent in a silo often at a co-working space, at home (in pajamas) and human connection can be limited.

The Solution:

Emily Merrell, Founder of Six Degrees Society and Business Coach to solopreneurs and Tory Putnam, Brand and and Portrait Photographer are changing the way we come together. They are joining forces to create a recurring monthly morning experience that fuels the mind, the body and your business.

In the monthly meetings, we'll be tackling various themes (see our themes below), start the morning fueled and you'll each join Tory for a 1:1 mini personal branding photo shoot, which includes four final, edited images for your use! You'll have 5-10 minutes in front of the camera, allowing time for a mix of poses - plus, you can bring a few props or products that represent your brand too. If you join us for the entire program, you'll have a beautiful, impactful library of images, which represent you and you brand (that's one photo a week for the rest of the year!) With each week at a different location, you'll have four different location backdrops, plus a mix of outfits and props too.

Details:
Venue: Exact address will be emailed to guests the day prior to our first event (always in a different location)

Dates: Monday, September 16th, Wednesday, October 9th, Wednesday, October 13th and Wednesday, December 11th

Time: 8:00am-10:00am

Themes: Batching/Time Management, Pitching/Templatizing, Pricing, Thought Leadership
